Chief of Staff to Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo (pictured above), and three commissioners have reportedly resigned their appointments, to vie for offices in the 2015 general elections.
The commissioners are Chukwuemeka Ujam (Lands), Ikechukwu Ugwuegede (Enugu Capital Territory) and Chuka Utazi (Transport).
A Special Adviser to the Governor, Uche Nwobodo, was also said to have resigned for the same reason.

It was gathered from inside sources in Enugu Government House that the said appointees resigned on Monday, to vie for offices on the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
Utazi confirmed his resignation in a text message.
Others could not be reached as at the time that this report was filed yesterday.
When contacted on phone for official confirmation, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor, Mr. Chukwudi Achife, said he would not make a categorical statement on the matter since appointees tendered their resignation to the Governor.
“May be by Tuesday, I will be in a better position to talk on this matter,” Achife said.
Mrs. Nwobodo wants to contest for Enugu East senatorial election while Utazi has interest in Enugu North senatorial seat as her posters can be seen all over the state.
Ugwuegede and Ujam were said to be vying for the House of Representatives, while Uche Nwobodo, reportedly has interest in the House of Assembly.
