The wedding showcase is an annual event which was thought of and created by Dr Kachy Ugwa, a south eastern Nigerian based doctor and CEO White Magic Nig. Ltd, an event management outfit.
It is platform where vendors, designers, craftsmen etc, come together and showcase their crafts, services and works to teeming customers and clients who grace the event and also package these vendors and their products for bigger competitors. According to the initiator, ''TWS is a non profit oriented platform that bridges the gap between vendors and clients especially in the south east.' Why should someone always have to go to Lagos, to get a make up artist, models, photographers, designers, decor persons, cake designers, etc whereas there are good hands here in south east, Enugu precisely, so that's a need that TWS provides for'
This year's edition which is the second held at Golden Royale Hotel Multi-purpose hall, Independence layout, Enugu from 11th-12th Nov. 2016. It was a spectacular event. NBB was there and talked to some of the vendors present. They shared their exciting experiences and opinions on few areas they felt the organizers lagged and ways it could be corrected.
Media Personality and critic, Sammy 'Supersam' Ajufo. He hosted the event. He showed off his good dancing skills too!
T.R deals on make up, accesories and my favorite piece, Turbans. I so much love Turbans but unfortunately I couldn't buy any there, took their contact tho. Speaking with them, they were excited to be at the fair and optimistic for sales and connecting with customers. For them, TWS is ok and the organizers did a wonderful job. Their products are of good quality and affordable too. Office is at Jim Nwobodo crescent, Trans Ekulu, Enugu.
This was one of my most favorite vendors. O'craft Africa. She makes and sells ankara accessories; 'ankara Chanel bags',clutch purses, shopping bags, bangles, kimono jackets, necklaces, make up purses etc. Her products are so WOW!! They literally gave me goose pimples. They were so beautiful, made of superior materials and simply creative. You would fall in love with every piece in her booth. The designer, Oluchi is based in Lagos , she told NBB, that she sources for the most superior material for her products, which is visibly obvious. She was thankful for such experience, saying that it gave her opportunity to meet people whom she was able to convince that there are good made in Nigeria products especially amkara accessories. She said you can wash her ankara products without loosing any quality! At the time NBB spoke with her, she had already sold over 10 products and has gotten a lot of contacts. Her products are unbelievably affordable.
More of her beautiful products below
You can place orders for her products from wherever in Nigeria
Another amazing Vendor. Kitchen pastries and her decor is so out of this world. I felt like I was wedding already. The cake artist, Ifeoma Ezechukwu is pretty and cool like that! NBB got into her booth, she said she's grateful sch platform, haven been at the last edition where she made lots of clients, she's hopeful for more this time. But she felt since it's a wedding showcase, it should strictly be a wedding affair unlike the numerous non-wedding related products showcased. Although according to her 'some brides may want some fabrics for asoebi and stuffs like that'. But either ways she's grateful for the platform and met some other vendors who share mutual interests with her! Office is at Onitsha Crescent, Independence Layout Enugu.
Beautiful Amanda Nduka. She's a distributor for Da Viva. She shares similar interests with the initiator of TWS. As someone that moved into Enugu from Lagos, she really wants to improve on some certain areas especially in the fashion industry in Enugu. In her words 'I really want to make Enugu shine, things happen in Enugu, that's why I partake in things related to the state's progress. Speaking about the event 'It's a nice one, I have made contacts with clients and fellow vendors. Thank you TWS' Office is at Ituku street, Upper Chime, New Haven, Enugu.
They ensured that guests and vendors didn't go hungry. I had Koksy foods' chapman, it was nice and affordable too!
Amazing designer,based in Enugu.
Took this photo quite early, their booth was beautiful too.
Home of photography!
Jordan Jospeh Cocktails! Photographer didn't do justice to their entire booth!Well, they're specialised in cocktails and every thing drink and mixology! Surprisingly, they've been in Enugu for over 3 years, are you surprised?? Thanks to TWS for showing them to us. They were at the showcase last year, and it's a great opportunity for them, last year and this year! They made a lot of sales and contacts too! At the time they spoke to NBB, they've already made over N10,000 and more were coming! According to them 'our services are affordable, a civil servant can afford us for his event'- they serve at events too. Office is at Vitagracia street, GRA, Enugu.

DEFINITE ELEGANCE; They are home to accessories and make up products. The creative director, Afomachukwu Onwurah said 'the showcase is a nice platform and this year's edition was better than the last year's' .This year's edition according to her was well publicized when compared to last year's and the booths were better arranged, vendors turned up more.
Bellany is another amazing and burgeoning fashion outfit in coal city and would cut across the whole nation! The Ceo, Mr Okey Ani spoke to NBB, he confirmed that he was the first vendor to make sales on the first day of the showcase, how cool is that! According to him, TWS has done a great job so far, this is their first appearance and it was successful. He made sales and lots of contacts with fellow vendors and and customers too! On fashion appreciation in the state, he said that it's improved going by customers' compliments and valuation! Office is at Elim Plaza by Ebeano Tunnel.
Home to anything Fabric and tailorinmg aceesroues. Her pieces are beautiful and exquisite! For her, it's been amazing so far , although there's been a poor turn up which she thinks is as a result of economic recession but optimistic too! At the time she spoke to NBB, she has made few sales and contacts and expecting more! Office is at New Haven Market, Enugu.
Other vendors who spoke to NBB were H-zibah Design; she deals on fashion accessories such as Fascinators, Jewelries and Fabrics. She complimented the job done by the organizers of TWS. She said there was a greater turn up of guests last year probably due to economic recession. On improvement, she complained over poor publicity, she suggested that a one on one publicity and orientation would greatly influence turn up because placing billboards all over isn't enough and it sends wrong messages to people because most people think it's just a wedding affair but it's not. So a better publicity send education would be better. Also she complained about security, she said it would be better if booths are secured and vendors could leave their wares and come back for the second day of the exhibition, without packing and unpacking like they did, it would be great.
Mr Nelson of T.N_Official Clothing Line, who was there to support a fellow designer and stylist, complimented the event and it's organizers. He was particularly excited that it was mostly youths that owned businesses showcased there. 'It's a positive development, I'm impressed, it says a lot of good things about the people of Enugu', he said.
'I'm surprised that such things exist in Enugu, seriously, Enugu would soon be the new Lagos, TWS is lit'- he added.
