After Beverly Osu criticized Nollywood actors for endorsing fairness creams and called their ad campaigns “demeaning, false, and racist”, IK Ogbonna has now asked celebrities to stop endorsing hair growth products, calling their ad campaigns “demeaning, false and hairist.”

In a series of sardonic tweets, Ik aimed at Uti Nwachukwu, Bryan Okwara, Ramsey Nouah and other celebrities while sharing various ads they have done for hair growth products and clinics.

His tweets received tremendous response on Twitter. Thousands of people supported his statements by retweeting him and replying to his tweets positively. Around 6,500 bald people started following IK yesterday after he took a firm stand on the issue.

IK tweeted an ad that showed actor Ramsey Nouah holding ‘Living Hair Tonic’ in his hand. Here, Ik wrote: “We are not a hairist country! Why is having hair so important?”

In his subsequent tweets, IK listed men who contributed to the history despite having little or no hair. The list included names like Mahatma Gandhi, Winston Churchill and Charles Darwin among others. He also mentioned Hollywood actors like Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and Bruce Willis who are successful in the show business despite being bald and to drive home his point, he came home by listing Tuface, Banky W, and Ikechukwu who made it in life and in showbiz despite being bald!

In his concluding tweets, the actor condemned the idea of campaigns that portray having hair makes you superior. “There’s a lot more of these campaigns that are blatantly, and sometimes subtly, selling you the idea that having hair is better than being bald. Don’t fall for it. Be yourself, flaunt your baldness”

After these tweets, the stock prices of  hair care products especially for men fell so low and many  men especially those who have been in the industry since the release of Living in Bondage but hasn't 'blown' and the up & coming actors flooded barbers shops all wanting to go bald. Tortoise feces aka Nsi mbe is now expensive, as it has been proven to induce baldness
