South east Nigerian OAP of Enugu's Dreamfm, Gloria Orji-Emordi aka Fabulos Gloria, last night held a cocktail party for the launching of her website 'www.fabulosgloria.com' which according to her would be the number one spot for south east news and more. But the big question is, would this new website/blog of hers pose as a threat or competitor to other south east blogs especially those who are already underway to showcase south east in the way she plans like Notabella blog and some others??
The colorful event took place at Veronica's suite, Trans-ekulu, Enugu, and it saw some major industry key players in attendance, notable among them were, CEO Notabella blog, CEO Henrich Computers, Enugu, MD Dream Fm Enugu, South east bloggers, OAPs, and close family and friends!

While unveiling the website, Gloria noted that she would be able, through her blog and loyal team bring south east and it's beauty to spot light in Nigeria. Stating that many a time the south east has been relegated in national news except for when it's a bad news, any thing other than that, it's not news worthy, thus she has come salvage that! She also emphasized on the need for the south easterners to tell their stories themselves, if not someone else would do so and become their hero; why would that even happen when there are talented individuals like herself and more!
Fabulosgloriadotcom just like Notabellablog and some others have come to tell the south east story, showcase the south east talents, bring the national media attention to south east and make south east the next media hub in Nigeria!
As part of her marketing strategy, she designed car stickers, which she urged everyone that came to take home and place on their cars, to help spread the good news! Also she promised 3-months free advert on her website for all entrepreneurs to come showcase their products and more.
The Good;
The event was colorful, the drinks and food were superb and by products of south east good hands! Aside that, the event provided a good social and business networking ground for anyone who chose to seize the opportunity. The play makers were there, so were media people..everyone had to blend!
The Bad;
Interesting as the idea behind the website may sound, it still poses some level to threat to some young bloggers in the same niche. Gloria is a brand as she boasted of last night, so anything she endorses flies and becomes big where as the young bloggers who may not have enough back up support may still have her as a major brand and contender to contend with. But hey, that's where business calls for creativity and serious marketing strategy! It took her time to build the 'Fabulosgloria' brand as she said and corroborated by Mr Henry Okenwa, Ceo of Henrich Computers.
The Ugly;
Trust Africans, the event didn't start off as scheduled but the guests surely came and it was lit all the way! 'Congrats to Gloria as we compete for the south east - someone said last night!
