UrbanSpace 2; What You Need To Know and Why You Should Be Involved!

The current demography in Africa calls for increased attention to young people. For example 1 in 3 people are between the ages of 10 and 24, and approximately 60 percent of Africa’s total population is below the age of 35 years. Africa also has the fastest growing 16 – 25 year olds across the world. This demography further highlights the popular saying that youths are the leaders of tomorrow. Adequate plans therefore needs to be made by both government and civil society organizations to ensure that young people are properly informed as well as channel their talents and abilities properly in order that they maximize their full potentials.

Young Africans therefore need to spur growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security across Africa. It is this light that UrbanSpace evolved to ensure that we provide home grown solutions for our many predicaments and inspire young people to take action through entrepreneurship, governance and community development. UrbanSpace is an event that comes up every three months it is planned to give young people access to the right kind of information. It is structured in such a way that both young and old can participate. At urbanspace it is believed that nobody can win the battle without the wisdom of the elders and energy of the youths. In this regards urbanspace is a platform that provides the right kind of information to young people. It’s a day event with six sessions:
1. Entrepreneurial Education.
2. Good governance.
3. Meet and greet (Networking).
4. Moment of inspiration
5. The debate.
