Davido may have witnessed his worst concert since touring African countries.
Hours after he announced he had arrived Lubumbashi in Congo for his concert, the singer took to Snapchat to reveal that a riot broke out at the venue between fans and the police.
Sadly, according to the Aye crooner, a female singer opening the concert yesterday got raped.
“Omg, there’s a riot at my show, police vs fans,” Davido wrote, adding, “omg, they raped one of the artist opening for me. Shit!”
Davido, his manager Kamal Ajiboye and other members of his team were hurried out of the event. The next clip he shared confirmed they were finally safe away from the venue.
“I hope everyone is safe,” the singer asked much later of his fans, adding that he hopes they all got home safe.
It is however unclear if they did, especially because he noted that the riot was between the fans and the police.
Davido had not performed before the riot started.
