Police in Umabor Division of Nsukka axis of the Enugu state command on Tuesday 8/11/16 have arrested three armed robbery suspects who terrorize innocent residents in the area.
The robbers which include a female were arrested at about 6.30 am through intelligence information on their nefarious activities. One of the suspects identified as Kelechukwu Isiani of Amukpa Ogboalla Opi in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state was arrested at a hospital where he had allegedly gone to treat his bullet wound sustained in his hand and chest during a shootout that ensued between the operatives of the command and the hoodlums.
His arrest led to the arrest of two other members of the gang at their hideout.The two arrested members of the notorious robbery gang who gave their names as Nnamdi Omeje AKA Obele and a female member of the gang identified as Chiamaka Agbo are helping the operatives in their investigations.
In a related development operatives of the Special Anti Anti Robbery Squad Enugu (SARS) through a distress call received from the inhabitants of Golf Estate GRA Enugu nabbed one Ibrahim Saad 26 years who claimed to hail from Balewa local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The suspect was alleged to have been terrorizing the area with his gang members.Suspect was allegedly nabbed by the operatives at about 2.30 am as he was about breaking into a house at Golf Estate Enugu having gained entrance with his ladder and other dangerous implements.Suspect is now helping the operatives in their investigations in relation to his nefarious activities with other fleeing members of the gang.
