The Nigerian Police has captured the men who masterminded the kidnap of the wife of the CBN governor, Margaret Emefiele.
According to Sahara Reporters, the suspects were arraigned today at a press conference, and the N15 million recovered from them displayed before journalists.
This comes just a day after Premium Times reported that two soldiers have been arrested for their alleged roles in the kidnap.
The report said:
“Musa Maidabara, a corporal attached to the 322 Artillery Regiment, and Edwin George of 371 Artillery Regiment in Maiduguri were arrested in separate locations with cash and other material possessions.”
Margaret Emefiele was released a day after she was abducted along the Benin-Agbor road, and family sources said she was rescued “due to the gallantry of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Forces” in Ugoneki near Benin City.
