Wait, y'all remember the BET Awards where it was reported that our music acts received their awards and performed in an empty hall for stage decorators and passers-by, seems the same thing happened at the just concluded MOBO as the organizers has pulled a leaf from BET's book, thus they didn't televise the Best African Act Category.
Oh dear, and Fuse would have given an epic acceptance speech!, we didn't see nor hear it bruh!
This award is known to promote and celebrate black music but last night changed their mission statement perhaps, by not televising the blacks part of the show and we all know that Afrobeats musics are soo hot in the UK now courtesy of their radio and clubs, so why should the musicans be treated so! Thanks goodness that the nominated Naija acts didn't show up, otherwise they would have been beaten and shamed twice.
If I am to give my two cents to these acts, i think they should boycott these awards until the organizers recognize and respect their talents and hardwork! But would they??..soon such awards would come up and they would comeout begging for votes again!
Meanwhile, I heard that the awards were criticized grossly by viewers for the number of white award winners at an event that celebrates 'musics of black origin'- Az licking! I smell some white az licking fellows!
