Armed men allegedly stormed the house of Mr Kenneth Uzor in Igbogbo, Ikorodu and killed him alongside some other members of his family in a horrific tragedy. The murder which occurred on Thursday at Adegbose Estate Phase 2, was one that caused confusion in the area.
Neighbours of Kenneth Uzor identified as the chairman of Muritala Mohammed International Airport taxi park, claim that the assailants jumped the fence and forced their way into the family’s home.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed the murder while speaking to newsmen and noted that everything is being done to bring the perpetrators of the crime to justice.
“Attackers had gone into the house and killed the head of the family and from preliminary investigations, there were signs of some struggles.
“We found out that same assassins also killed two of the kids,” he said.
Going further to discuss how the investigation into the gruesome murder was coming along, he stated;
“We are just picking bits and pieces of information.
“A crime scene vehicle is being sent to the area to see how much of information, exhibits and things, bits and pieces, that can be recovered from that scene that will aid our investigation.
“Everything that we need to do will be done swiftly and we will follow all the lead that we can get to make sure that whoever carried out or sponsored that act do not go unpunished,” he added.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary in Ikorodu.
